uptime guarantee policy with compensation for failure. While most hosting
companies have vague to no information on monitoring information, calculation
on their uptime statistics, and possible compensation, we spell out our
responsibilities for our clients with respect to uptime.
Our
average uptime since July 1, 2001 on all web servers, routers, and
switches, is over 99.847% according to our monitoring software. With our 99.5% guaranteed
uptime month after month, your web site will at most be unavailable 3 hours
and 36 minutes. Our clients understand that a 0.5% margin for error and
network upgrades is quite reasonable. Why the 3 hours and 36 minutes of down time. Most all computers systems
will need to be rebooted at some time. Taking that into consideration with
the occasional network glitch. If we have to reboot your server, we try
to schedule it during the slowest times of the day, generally around 2
a.m. EST.
